Business Segments

Utilities
The Utilities business segment is focused on the safe, reliable transportation and delivery of natural gas, electricity and water. Located mainly in Alberta and the Canadian North, they serve more than one million customers in nearly 300 communities. The Utilities segment includes ATCO Pipelines, ATCO Gas, CU Water, ATCO Electric and its subsidiaries Northland Utilities and The Yukon Electrical Company. Albertans have also come to trust the friendly, expert advice and services offered by the ATCO EnergySense program and our famous ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen.

Energy
The Energy business segment owns and operates independent hydroelectric, coal, and environmentally progressive natural gas-fired power plants. It includes ATCO Power, ATCO Midstream and ATCO Energy Solutions.

Structures & Logistics Group
The Structures & Logistics business segment profiles the diversity of the company. The Structures & Logistics Group includes ATCO Structures & Logistics Ltd. ATCO Structures & Logistics was formed July 1, 2009 when ATCO Ltd. and Canadian Utilities Limited combined ATCO Structures, ATCO Noise Management and ATCO Frontec. ATCO Structures & Logistics offers complete infrastructure solutions to customers worldwide, including workforce housing, innovative modular facilities, construction, site support services, logistics support, operations management, catering and noise reduction technologies. With manufacturing facilities in North America, South America, Australia, and the Middle East and operations on six continents, the company has the expertise to deliver a rapid full turnkey solution anywhere it is needed. ATCO Ltd. and its subsidiary, Canadian Utilities Limited, have ownership interests of 75.5% and 24.5% respectively in ATCO Structures & Logistics.
