ATCO Group is a major sponsor to the Arctic Winter Games this March 9-15 in Yellowknife, NWT.

ATCO’s companies based in Yellowknife are: Northland Utilities Enterprise – providing electrical services to the community and ATCO Frontec - providing logistics services to support the airport.

As an Official Supplier, ATCO Structures is providing modular units to be used as showers & washrooms for the Athletes as well as units at various event locations.  ATCO I-Tek is donating 100 laptops for use by Games officials and available in the ATCO Connect Cafés for athletes and their families. These laptops will stay in the community at local schools after the Games. Northlands Utilities will provide electrical services as required and ATCO Frontec’s staff will volunteer to support their community in delivering the ‘best ever’ Games.

These Games will host an unrivaled cultural component of which ATCO is a presenting sponsor.  With eight locations around the city featuring photography, film making, performance and creating sculptures from recycled material, the 20th Anniversary of the Arctic Winter Games is truly celebrating a total collaborative approach to Art and Sport. 

The Arctic Winter Games attracts athletes from the circumpolar regions of Alaska, Northern Alberta, Greenland, Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Nunavik-Quebec, Russia/Yamal-Nenets, Sami and Yukon Territories.
