ATCO started as a family business more than 65 years ago. Our enduring ethos is rooted in solid family values: work as a team, be responsible for your actions, always give your very best effort and make a difference in your community.
This year’s Sustainability Performance Update notes several key initiatives related to employee training and development and employee engagement. For example, despite challenging economic conditions, our employees continued to demonstrate a remarkable commitment to their communities in 2015, raising more than $3.6 million through our ATCO EPIC (Employees Participating in Communities) fundraising program.
Meanwhile, ATCO continued to outperform its peers in regards to diversity on its Board of Directors; 27 per cent of our Board members are women, compared to 19.5 per cent on average for companies in the Financial Post 500.
