The ATCO Sons & Daughters Program provides the sons and daughters of ATCO employees with a number of summer employment opportunities across the organization. Positions available are diverse and vary from year-to-year. Past participants have gained valuable experience in office administration roles, meter reading and various field-based roles.
For summer 2016, applicants must:
Be 18 to 25 years of age as of May 1, 2016
Have completed at least the first year of full-time, post-secondary studies by May 2016, and intend to resume full-time studies in the fall (proof of re-enrollment required)
Be committed to work the full summer term (May to August 2016)
Frequently Asked Questions
I am not a son or daughter of an ATCO employee, but am a relative. Can I still apply?
Because this initiative was created explicitly for sons and daughters of ATCO employees, priority will be given to applicants whose parents work for an ATCO company. If you are a summer student, but not the son or daughter of an ATCO employee, contact the Human Resources department of the ATCO company you wish to work at.
What must I submit as proof of post-secondary school re-enrollment, and when should I submit this?
Proof of re-enrollment includes a letter of acceptance from an educational facility, time table of current semester, unofficial transcript, or a letter from the Registrars Office. The information will be collected during the pre-screening process.
*Applicants whose parents work at ATCOenergy should select ATCO Group as their parent’s employer.
The deadline for applications is March 3, 2016.
