The 5KW Panasonic fuel cell has been integrated with ATCO laboratory and workshop facilities at Jandakot.
The unit is operated for approximately 3 hours every night to supplement the power demand within the buildings to reduce the demand on the battery systems.

Key Features
- This unit can generate 5 kW of power, which makes it ideal for small-scale commercial facilities. If more power is needed, multiple fuel cell units can be connected and controlled to increase the power output based on the demand. Panasonic has announced a new unit that can deliver 10kW of power for sale in Australia.
- 100% hydrogen can be directly supplied to hydrogen fuel cell generators, which do not require a fuel processing device to extract hydrogen from natural gas. This results in efficient conversion of hydrogen into electric power, allowing the product to achieve an impressive electrical efficiency of 56%*2.
- If you connect a hot water storage unit the heat generated from the fuel cell can be transformed into hot water for your use.
- When used with a recommended resistor unit and a startup power supply unit, this product can generate power even during a power outage.
- The fuel cell can be started in approximately one minute, which is useful for responding to peak cut control when a quick response is required from power sources.
