Career Tasters
In 2023 and beyond, ATCO is excited to be partnering with the WA State Government to provide Year 9 students with a glimpse of the vast range of career opportunities available at ATCO through the Career Taster Program (CTP).
This innovative program, overseen by the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development, is designed to challenge students' thinking, make connections between education and post-school opportunities, and is available to all Year 9 students in WA until the end of 2025. As a participant in the CTP, we are providing industry-led experiences and activities that introduce students to the diverse career opportunities available at ATCO, including roles in STEM and support functions.
This year, and for the first time, we will be holding 3 site tours with WA schools at our Clean Energy Innovation Hub. These engaging sessions, led by staff across our company, have a focus on ATCO's role in the energy transition and the role our future workforce will play in our journey to net zero.
Our participation in the CTP also enables us to reach students in remote and regional schools across WA through a series of informative staff interview videos showcasing their journeys from Year 9 to today.
