Our Hiring Process

This is the most important step toward getting started with ATCO! When applying on a job, you will be prompted to sign in. Click on “New User” and create your on-line profile. You will be asked to complete all required fields and to upload your resume.

Once you've created your profile, you are now ready to apply to the positions that best fit your qualifications. Depending on the position you're applying for, you may be asked to answer initial online qualification questions that will give us information about your availability, skills and experience. After you apply to a position, we will notify you with an email to confirm that we have received your resume.

A member of the ATCO team will review your application. Qualified candidates may be selected for initial phone pre-screen interviews.

If your skills and experience are a potential match for the position, you may be invited for an in person formal interview. If it is determined that this position is not a fit, you will be notified. Occasionally, a second interview may be requested.

ATCO provides conditional offer letters, meaning that you have been selected for the role based on your demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities. However, to start working with ATCO officially, you must pass the necessary pre-employment requirements for the position.

Once you sign your offer letter, the necessary pre-employment requirements will be initiated for you to complete. 

Employment at ATCO is conditional upon successfully clearing certain pre-employment requirements. Pre-employment requirements always include a criminal record check and, depending on the role, other pre-employment requirements may include reference checks, employment verification, and verification of education and applicable designations. For safety-sensitive positions, an alcohol & drug test and/or fit-for-work test will also be conducted.
