To ensure the safety of our candidates, employees, and the public we have moved all recruitment activities to a virtual experience. Utilizing various video conference platforms, candidates and hiring teams will be able to connect and have personal interviews no matter where they are located. We appreciate the time and effort you have put into exploring a career at ATCO and realize that adding technology to interviews may be unfamiliar. To support you, we will be offering how-to guides to help you prepare for your interview. We are committed to providing you with a positive ATCO experience no matter what the situation.
Application and Hiring Steps
1. Create Your Profile
This is the most important step toward getting started with ATCO! When applying on a job, you will be prompted to sign in. Click on “New User” and create your on-line profile. You will be asked to complete all required fields and to upload your resume.
2. Search & Apply for a Position
Once you've created your profile, you are now ready to apply to the positions that best fit your qualifications. Depending on the position you're applying for, you may be asked to answer initial online qualification questions that will give us information about your availability, skills and experience. After you apply to a position, we will notify you with an email to confirm that we have received your resume.
3. Initial Phone Interview
A member of the ATCO team will review your application. Qualified candidates may be selected for initial phone pre-screen interviews.
4. Formal In-Person Interview
If your skills and experience are a potential match for the position, you may be invited for an in person formal interview. If it is determined that this position is not a fit, you will be notified. Occasionally, a second interview may be requested.
5. Reference Checks
You may be requested to provide 1-2 references of previous (or current) supervisors.
6. Job Offer
If you are the selected candidate for the position, the hiring manager and/or recruiter will contact you to provide you with a verbal offer. They will follow-up with a written conditional offer letter, which will include details about your compensation package and will provide a benefits summary to help you make an informed decision.
7. Pre-Employment Checks
ATCO will conduct pre-employment checks that may include a criminal record check, as well as verification of education and applicable designations. For safety-sensitive positions, a pre-employment alcohol & drug test and/or fit-for-work test will also be conducted.
