Community

Be part of a team that puts giving back at the heart of what we do.

ATCO and our people are committed to contributing to strong communities where we work and live.  ATCO supports initiatives to partner with non-profit organizations by providing knowledge and skills, time, and financial support. Our Legacy Sponsorship of the Arctic Winter Games, the Calgary Stampede, and others demonstrate what ATCO is doing to make a difference. We are also proud of the effort our employees make with their ATCO EPIC annual fundraising campaign and the ATCO EPIC Time to Give program.

The ATCO EPIC (Employees Participating in Communities) program provides employees with the opportunity to get involved in their community through fundraising events, employee pledges and employee volunteer hours supporting charitable organizations of their choice.

Our ATCO EPIC program is a grassroots initiative involving employee-led committees that plan, implement and administer workplace fundraising campaigns. The program combines fundraising events, auctions, friendly team competitions and employee pledges. Altogether, the program supports more than 800 charitable and non-profit organizations around the world.

We match employee donations to human health and wellness charities, and we cover all administration costs which means that 100 per cent of the funds raised go directly toward the benefiting organizations.

We also recognize that volunteering time and talent is an important part of our peoples’ lives. Every year employees volunteering 50 hours, or more, are eligible to apply for a donation to a registered charity of their choice. In 2017, our people volunteered nearly 9,000 hours to make our communities a better place to work and live.
