ATCO Invictus Student Competition: Inspiring the Next Generation

ATCO held a contest inviting students in grades 4 to 9 to create compositions on the theme ?Why Military Matters?, for a chance to attend the 2025 Invictus Games, which took place from February 8-16 in Vancouver and Whistler. For the last weekend of the Games, the ten contest-winning students and a parent or guardian flew to Vancouver to experience the excitement.

Reflections on Military Earn Ten Students Trips to the Invictus Games

Ten students from across Alberta will receive a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 in February 2025.??The students had entered an ATCO contest that encouraged young Albertans between grades 4 to 9 to reflect on Why Military Matters through creative compositions such as poems, essays, and videos on the importance of our Canadian military.

Amidst this crisis, our electric and gas teams worked tirelessly alongside multi-agency response teams to restore essential services.
