At ATCO, we believe in going beyond the call of duty when it comes to supporting our customers, our communities, and our fellow ATCO teammates.

Some key points that caught the attention of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers judges during this year’s competition include ATCO’s:

    • Annual EPIC (Employees Participating In Communities) charitable giving campaign where ATCO provides time for employees to volunteer in the community and matches donations to any registered health or wellness charity.

    • Well-being @ ATCO initiative that provides employees access to mental, physical, and social well-being programs, challenges and activities.

    • Continuous commitment to learning for all employees, from paid internships and formal mentoring to tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutions, to leadership development programs and subsidies for professional accreditation.

When asked about what ATCO’s continued success as a top employer means to her, Andrea Furman, Manager, Project Services, supporting ATCO’s Natural Gas division, says “I am proud to work for ATCO and be part of an organization that gives back to the communities in which it operates. What excites me about my role? The people. I believe that we have some of the brightest, most innovative, and hard-working individuals in the industry—I’m excited to be part of a forward-thinking company that is leading change!”

Rümi, a subsidiary of ATCO, who officially launched in June 2021, also once again made the list of Alberta’s Top 75 Employers. Some key factors that stood out for the business include their diversity, ongoing personal development advancements, and commitment to collaboration. “Positive employee experience and Customer Obsession are keys to our success” says Sarah Francis, Vice President, People and Customer Engagement. “They are what helps drive our purpose of making people happy by making it easier for everyone to love the places they live or work.”
