NANCY SOUTHERN RECEIVES HONORARY DOCTOR OF LAWS FROM MOUNT ROYAL UNIVERSITY

  • Nancy Southern Receives Honorary Doctor of Laws from Mount Royal University

    On May 31, 2023, Nancy Southern, our Chair, President & CEO, received an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Mount Royal University (MRU). An honorary degree is Mount Royal University’s highest honour, granted to recognize extraordinary professional and personal accomplishments and contributions to society.

    Nancy, and her commitment to responsible leadership, has been described by the University with the words compassion, courage, respect, and reconciliation. She exemplifies the University’s vision, “opening minds and changing lives”, through her personal commitment to education, equity, social issues, and inclusive leadership. ATCO currently employs more than 150 MRU graduates and recognizes the critical role post-secondary institutions play in our society by regularly engaging students through MRU’s Career Services’ work-integrated learning programs.
