Energy Education Mobile

Bringing Energy Efficiency to You

Our Energy Education Mobile is a 40-foot classroom on wheels that travels throughout Alberta. For nearly a decade, this free, one-of-a-kind learning experience has visited schools and communities. The Energy Education Mobile is designed for Grade 4 students, and helps educate youth on Alberta’s energy resources and the importance of energy efficiency.

We’d love to bring our one-of-a-kind classroom on wheels to your community.

"This was our first time having the Energy Education Mobile and it was WONDERFUL! Everything from booking, having the materials prior to the visit, to the engaging onboard activities. PLEASE contact me next time the Mobile comes to High Prairie."

Brenda, Grade 4 Teacher

Built for teachers, by teachers

Our Energy Education Mobile was developed in consultation with Alberta teachers. The activities on the Mobile help students learn about Alberta’s energy resources and energy efficiency in a fun and interactive way.

The mobile can accommodate 16 students at a time, and each session takes about one hour. Two of our coordinators facilitate the learning experience, answer questions and ensure students are engaged as they rotate through our interactive learning stations.

The Energy Education Mobile complements these specific curriculum areas:

  • Grade 4 Science – Waste and Our World. Students learn to identify examples of how energy is wasted and actions they and others can take to minimize waste.
  • Grade 4 Social Studies – Alberta: A Sense of the Land. Students will learn to identify Alberta’s energy resources, where they are located and how those resources are used.
