Project Profile

  • Fisher River Community Centre

A place to gather and celebrate

We worked together with ATCO in terms of designing the facility, what would be the best fit for the community, the size of the facility, some of the historical pieces that were added as a part of the project.  It’s been a good partnership with ATCO,” says David Crate, Chief of Fisher River Cree Nation.  The 12,600 square foot Community Hall was completed in 2018 and built using a combination of pre-fabricated technology and modular building systems integrated together. The facility includes a spacious multi-purpose hall complete with a kitchen, lobby, washrooms and an adjacent VLT room.

The Community Centre is the second successful project that Fisher River Cree Nation and ATCO Sustainable Communities have created together, and their growing relationship demonstrates cooperation, collaboration and symbiosis.  Fisher River Cree Nation commemorates the creation and completion of their new Community Centre and will use the facility as a place to gather, celebrate and continue to strengthen their community.
