Pápa Air Base Facilities Management
Specialized Military Support
Nothing is more important than saving lives in times of crisis, be it military or humanitarian. To provide fast air transport of equipment and personnel for relief operations, NATO established the Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) in 2008.
A multinational program that provides its 10 member nations and two Partnership of Peace members – Hungary, Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, the United States, Finland and Sweden – with assured access to military airlift capability, SAC owns and operates three Boeing C-17A Globemaster III long-range cargo aircraft at the Hungarian Defence Forces (HDF) Pápa Air Base, the main operating air base located in Central Europe
Date: 2016 - Present
