Our Approach

We have always taken a long-term approach ? building and operating projects and infrastructure that provide access to safe, reliable and affordable energy to meet today?s customer needs, while planning for the future in a changing world. Enabling decarbonization and reducing the environmental impacts of our own operations and those of our customers are critical to our plans. This includes a comprehensive climate change strategy and a commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050.

Our strategy is to invest in renewable energy, cleaner fuels, energy infrastructure and storage systems, and energy efficiency, while managing carbon credits and offsets. This drives new production and infrastructure projects, but also guides investment in improvements and innovations to existing operations to ensure they remain efficient, dependable and future-ready.

While we take a global view of the environment and operate internationally, we recognize that energy solutions will be multi-faceted and unique to communities, regions and partners. Our global vision is built on local foundations.
