Unit development for builders and developers

When developing a property, there’s a lot to consider, including how to best incorporate natural gas into the energy mix.

We are here to help, and will walk you through each step of the process.

For development of commercial units, please contact us. One of our development experts would love to speak with you and help you find the best solution for your development.

Depending on the size of your residential development, the process may be different.

Please note: To ensure easy connection to natural gas upon completion of units, please ensure trenches are supplied and booked as early as possible during the construction phase.

Low rise and multi-storey developments with individual gas meters

If you’re working on a development with more than 15 units or that involves multi-storey construction, you’ll need to get in touch with us, so a gas design solution can be prepared by our engineers before any gas infrastructure is installed.

Connecting your new subdivision?

We’re here to help get your new subdivision connected to the power of natural gas.

Multi-Storey Residential Unit Development

Would you prefer individual ATCO meters for each apartment, or a single gas master-meter?

For an individual apartment metering solution, please contact us and one of our builder specialists will be happy to help. We can assist with design and implementation solutions for multi storey and other apartment developments.

Alternatively, there is the opportunity to install a single, larger “Master” meter rather than multiple residential meters. These larger meters come in a range of sizes and can supply gas to the entire building from a single location.

Connecting this type of meter requires a Commercial Gas Connection.
